If you do this action, you could earn another 6 points [add to points]

It is unclear how much electricity is used by elevators per floor or per trip, but we all know that it uses electricity, so if you avoid it, you will save electricity. An escalator runs all the time, so you aren't really save much there, unless it uses more electricity as each person steps on it.

If you have any info on costs of elevators or escalators, let us know. In addition to saving electricity, it's healthier for you to take the stairs by making you exercise and burn some calories.

Eat Less Meat - Image courtesy of http://keetsa.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/veggie-meatloaf.jpg
Eat Less Meat
Methane is the second most significant greenhouse gas and cows are one of the greatest methane emitters. Their grassy diet and multiple stomachs cause them to produce methane, which they exhale with every breath. The amount of land needed for cows to graze causes more trees to be cut down, thus allowing more carbon emissions to escape into the atmosphere.
